Proud to be a Trial Lawyer

The majority of our cases have saved lives, made products safer, and held corporations accountable. Yet those who want to weaken the civil justice system have exaggerated the prevalence of large jury awards or questionable cases to bias public opinion against plaintiffs and their lawyers. As attorneys, we often fail to tell how our cases have made a difference for not only our clients, but for everyone. "Proud to Be a Trial Lawyer" is our way of offering the community of plaintiffs and their lawyers a way to set the record straight. Share your cases and stories with us, and help us to share them with the general public.

You can help by going to the following web sites:

1. www.ProudTrialLawyers.org for trial lawyers to post cases illustrating how the civil justice system actually works to redress serious tragedy - in contrast to the Big Lie myths created by the corporate anti-legal lobby. It will also allow trial lawyers to share opinions and information on the battle to preserve a strong system of civil justice, and to express our pride in the profession.

2. www.RealCasesRealPeople.org - a public repository for the case summaries that you submit to www.proudtriallawyers.org. It will be directed to journalists and the general public and will also contain informative facts debunking the myths spread by opponents of a strong civil justive system..

Please go to ProudTrialLawyers.org for further details and to post your cases as well as to post your personal statement of pride in your profession as trial lawyers. Visit RealCasesRealPeople.org to see how this information will be presented to the public.

Remember the words of Edmund Burke: "All that is necessary for the triumph of evil is that good men should do nothing..."
